We recognize flying as a major cause of global warming gasses, and offer all our clients the chance to 'carbon compensate' their international flights at the time of booking.

This varies enormously, from our own purpose built expedition vehicles to dugout canoes, trains and the occasional rickshaw. Your feet come in handy too on a lot of treks! We tend to use private transfers and vehicles and avoid overcrowded local transport, but whatever we use, it is clearly stated on each tour page.

Almost all accommodation is on a twin share basis. Very occasionally we stay in mountain or jungle huts that are dorm style, and all tents are twin share. Generally, hotels are clean, comfortable and safe, and local in character with a friendly atmosphere. Standards do vary around the world, but we aim for 3 star comfort in a local setting. On camping tours, the equipment is high quality and well maintained.
